Bad Enrique references aside, sorry about the lax posting.
As most of you know, I've been on Facebook for nearly two months now, so most of my social networking energy is spent there. I really like it. I've reconnected with former childhood, college and work friends.
For non-Facebookers, here are brief recaps:

- About 15 of us went to Crooner's, a funky Elvis-themed bar in Garden Grove, Wednesday night to celebrate Serena's birthday - and to rock out for Guitar Hero/Rock Band open mic night. I even got on the mic, albeit with some help, for The Killers' "When You Were Young" (pictured). I also got on the ax for some easier songs: Radiohead's "Creep" (awesome distorted riffs) and Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger." Here's a pic of some of the girls preparing to jam to "One Way or Another." Josh has some photos of me shredding. I'll post those when I get them.
- Watched "Slumdog Millionaire" in a theater - and thoroughly enjoyed it.
- I was asleep by 11:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Sick with a head cold, we still went out to dinner at La Creperies (got my usual, the Parisian) and had two glasses of wine.
- On New Year's Day, I felt much better so I motorcycled down to Newport Beach to watch the 5:30 p.m. Orange Bowl. The Hokies beat Cincinnati 20-7 - and I said goodbye to my "football family" in grand fashion (pictured below).
