Camping, Cabo and craziness

I'm finally getting up some photos - many more were posted on Facebook last week - on my vacation that took me motorcycle camping at Joshua Tree (two nights), chilling in Cabo San Lucas at an all-inclusive resort (four nights) and having fun in Vegas (two nights).

Joshua Tree: Here is the camping group at William's memorial party in Idyllwild on Saturay, and a shot of me cruising with the pack in Joshua Tree National Park.

Cabo San Lucas: Here is the great view from our balcony, with a clear view of the arch and Lover's Beach where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean converge, and a shot of me at El Squid Roe, a bar in downtown Cabo - and one of the craziest clubs I've been to.

Las Vegas: The first of two nights involved seventh-row seats to see the Flight of the Conchords at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, and a late night with Jerry (pictured) and Loopy. We didn't crash untily nearly 5 a.m. that night.

Let the vacation begin!

Well, I snuck out of work at 11:30 a.m. today for the Angels-Red Sox baseball game at 12:35 p.m., my first web meeting (get it?) of the season.

The victory in extra innings begins an ambitious vacation schedule:

- Friday-Sunday: Ride motorcycles with six others up to Joshua Tree National Park for camping.

- Sunday-Thursday: Fly from LAX to Cabo San Lucas for four nights at the Rui Santa Fe, an an all-inclusive resort on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. Food and drinks are included!

- Thursday night: Lawn seats with friends to see Jimmy Buffett at Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine.

- Friday night: Adam's bachelor party on a beach in San Clemente.

- Saturday-Monday: Las Vegas, highlighted by Saturday night Flight of the Conchord tix at the Hard Rock.

I've never been to JT and Cabo, so I'm past due.

To quote Hellen Keller, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."

The Dude abides this Friday

The Lebowski Fest is coming to the Southland this week, with a bowling night in Lakewood - about five miles from my house.

A group of us are going. We're considering dressing up as characters.

"Donnie, you're out of your element!"
